introduction | (1S,4R)-4-methylcyclopentyl -2-enoic acid methyl ester hydrochloride should be called (1S, 4R)-(-)-methyl -4-aminocyclopentyl -2-enyl -1-formate hydrochloride, it can be obtained by heating (-)-(1R,4S)-2-azabicyclo [2.2.1] hept-5-ene-3-one with hydrochloric acid to open the ring. There are reports that it can be used to prepare herbicides with 3-phenylisoxazoline -5-carboxamide structure. |
preparation | combine (-)-(1R,4S)-2-azabicyclo [2.2.1] hept-5-ene-3-one 83(3.0g,27.5mmol) and 1.25M HCl in MeOH(59.0mL, the mixture in 73.8mmol) is heated and refluxed for 12h. The mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure and the residue was stirred with Et2O(42mL). The obtained solids were collected, washed with Et2O, and dried in vacuum, giving 4.2g(85%)(1S, 4R)-(-)-methyl-4-aminocyclopentan-2-en-1-formate hydrochloride (84). |
